Black Rage by William Grier
a book that takes a psychological approach to the emotions that culminate into “Black Rage”. i like how it takes a serious approach to the buildup of micro-aggressions and shows just what can result when these things are confronted and resolved. bell hooks mentions this in her book, Killing Rage. although, she says this book pathologizes rage as something that is inherently negative that should be “healed” as opposed to a very legitimate and justified response to racism that should be channeled positively - not suppressed. in any case, it is good for gaining a better perspective.
